Graphic 45 Design team 2013 audition

Hi all.

I'm going to audition for the Graphic 45 design team. I'm so excited to show you these projects I have created and review a couple that I already posted using Graphic 45 papers.

The first round is due by March 21.

So here are my 6 projects.

The first one is a calendar I made using the A place in time paper collection. I cut 1" by 1" squares for the dates and used stickers for the numbers. This measures 12" by 7. Each topper is held to the top with magnets. The back of the calendar also has magnets so it can be hung on a fridge or other metal object.

The Second project I made was a Mini album made from cards and envelopes. The cover measures 5 1/2 by  7 3/4 I used the secret Garden paper collection for this one. I just love this paper pack!

The following pictures are of the cards that are stuck in each envelope page.

This album I made using a chipboard cover and spine. The cover measures  7 1/2 by  8 1/2. I used the hidden hinge binding system. Each page is constructed using kraft cardstock.

This next album is made using Ladies diary paper collection from Graphic 45 and file folders from the office supply store. The cover measures  9 1/2 by 9 1/4. I used 7 gypsies binder rings to bind the album.

This next album measures  5 1/2 by 7 and has a chipboard cover and spine. The paper collection is called Memories by teresa collins. I made this album to house pictures of our recently departed cat Pounce. I loved how it turned out and can't wait to add more pictures and embelishments.

Here is a video and pictures.

The only way to properly show this next project is with a video I did on You Tube.

and the last is a 12 x 12 layout  I did using Olde Curosity Shop papers

Graphic 45 design team challenge

I've been busy making projects to enter in the Graphic 45 design team. I have only 2 more days to complete the projects, make a blog post and some videos. I'm scrambling and second guessing myself each step if the way. Watch for my next post to see all the goodies I've been working on .

Portfolio 6 1/2 by 6 1/2 mini album

This album  measures  6 1/2 by 6 1/2. The pages are 6 by 6. Its a simple album with lots of journaling spots, photo mats and cute embelishments. I made inches using stamps, glimmer mist and chipboard. I had fun making them. The paper collection is from pink paislee and is the Portfolio collection

Hope you like it as much as I do.   I am listing this along with several other of my albums on etsy as we speak. Well as I type. My store name is SuperHappyScrapper. Don't you just love it. I actually got to name all 3 sites the same thing. It's not often that the names I wan't aren't taken. So that' makes a happy me.

I really don't know how much to list items that I've made other than to go by the price of supplies I have in them. Since I'm not selling them to get rich. I'm just trying to get rid of the albums I've made and are sitting around and to get a little money to buy more supplies. Give me some feedback on how you think the prices are. I've seen lots of albums from anywhere from 25-100 bucks.Crazy I think but I know how much the supplies actually cost and how much time goes into making an album. I'll just be happy to cover the cost of the albums (with the exception of the 2 I've listed to raise money for my friends daughters trip to DC)

I didn't realize how much of a pain it was to actually list things. LOL

Calendar

Well you all know how I adore what Kathy of Paper Phenomenon makes. When I saw her January kit club I just had to try my hand at making one. I only had the 8 x 8 paper pack of Graphic 45s A Place in Time handy as I used the 12 X 12 pack on my card box so I decided to make a smaller version. I don't really know how she made hers as I didn't purchase the tutorial or watch the Ustream class. I suppose it would have been a lot easier. I watched her YouTube video and got the basic idea of what I needed to do.

My version is 12 x 7 and I didn't use magnet strips on the front although I used magnets on the back so I can hang on the fridge.

I don't have a storage area for my monthly toppers as hers but I'm still liking mine just fine. I've only finished 3 monthly toppers so far but maybe I'll finish the rest and actually use this. Lol

I have the dates set up for Feb but decided to take pictures of my Jan and March toppers as well so there are 3 pictures

Birthday card organizer box

I decided I needed a place to put all my cards so I wouldn't forget to mail them out for birthdays. I had a "book" that I made to keep them all in but never used it. Hopefully I'll actually use this book and send out my cards on time.

Hello Sunshine mini Album

I used the Bo Bunny Hello Sunshine paper collection for this album. All embelishments are from the same line. The covers measure  6 1/2 X 6 1/2 and the spine is  2 1/4 inches wide. The pages measure  6 1/4 X 6 1/4 so a 6X6 paper pad is perfect for the pages. I did use 12X12 pages to cover the front and back covers.

Thanks for watching.

The sweetest thing tissue box cover

Here is another tissue box cover that I was asked to make for a girl at work. She said that she wanted teal and lime green so I really hope she likes it. I will find out tomorrow.

The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye, the sweetest thing collection, black card stock is
Recollections, and the teal and lime green are Bazzil. The flowers are Recollecitons, and Hobby Lobby.

The tutorial can be found on www.bettybrett.blogspot.com. She's a super great crafter and lady! She also has a Ustream show you should really check her out.

Neapolital collection mini Album

I used Recollections, The Neapolitan Collection and Dear Lizzy Neapolitan specialty Paper pad from American Crafts. I didn't notice that the collections are EXACTLY the same when I bought them from Michael's. But since I love the paper it's a win win.

I used the hidden hinge binding system developed by Kathy Orta on this album. The page designs are inspired or copied from various video's I have seen on You Tube. The double Library pocket page is something Kathy is known for. If you haven't checked out her tutorials, and you tube videos you really need to pop on over there and check them out. She is so inspiring.

I really love to make mini albums but my brain doesn't come up with designs very often. Certainly, nothing as cool as Kathy comes up with but you gotta start some where!

Hope you like the album!

Again thanks for watching, reading and subscribing!
