Good Day Sunshine Mini album

Hello all.

Here is my latest mini album I created. Normally my pages are all the same but in this album each page is different. Check out my video walk through.

Now... As I type this the video of me cutting the pages is uploading to You Tube but i wanted to give you the measurements of each page.

First you will need 6 sheets cut at 8 x 8 and 6 sheets cut at  9 x 8. These will create the base pages. You will score on the 9 inch side at 1/2 and 8 1/2

Page 1
8 x 7 scored on 7" side at 1/2
10 1/2 by 8 score on 10 1/2" side at 4 1/2 and 10

Page 2
9 x 4- score on 9 " side at 1/2 and 8 1/2 and 4" side at 1/2
9 x 4 1/2 score on 9" side at 1/2 and 8 1/2  and 4 1/2" side at 1/2
2 pieces cut at 5x5 score both at 1/2" on one side

Page 3
5x8  score on 5" side at 1/2
10 1/2 x 7 score on 10 1/2" side at 1/2 and 5 score on 7" side at 1/2 and 6 1/2*** When putting this together in the video I did this wrong so I recut pages to make my mistake right.  So cut 6 x  6 1/2 sheet score on the 6 1/2 side at 1/2 and another piece cut at 7 x 4 1/2 score on the 7" side at 1/2 and 6 1/2 and on the 4 1/2 side at 1/2 to create a pocket

5 x 8 score on 5" side at 1/2

Page 11

Ok. First off here is the video where I did a look see of the folio style 4 that I created.

Now here are the measurements for all the paper to make this folio. Yep that's right you too can make this awesome folio! LOL

These are all cut from card stock. Normally I get my cardstock from Michael's I use the recollections brand 8 1/2 by 11 size.

2 cut at 8 1/4 x 7
score on the  8 1/4 side at  7  and  7 3/4

4 cut at 7 1/2 x 7
score on the 7 1/2 side at 1/2

8 cut at 7 1/2 x 4 1/2
Score on the  7 1/2 side at 1/2
Score on the 4 1/2 side at 1/2 and 3 1/2

8 cut at 4 1/2 x 4
Score on the  4 1/2 side at 1/2 and 3 1/2
Score on the 4 side at 1/2

2 cut at  8 x 3 1/2
score on the 8 side at 1/2 and 7 1/2
score on the  3 1/2 side at 1/2

1 sheet at  7x7

Tags for pockets
8 cut at 6 3/4 (or 7 if you want tag to stick out a tiny bit) x 3 1/4
8 cut at  3 1/4 x 3 1/4
2 cut at 6 1/2 x 6 1/2

All measurements are in inchs.
When I say "score on the 4 1/2 side" I mean the 4 1/2 side is at the top of your score board

As always if you make one I would love to see it. You can post on my facebook page , pinterest, instgram.

New simple binding.

Simple yes.. a little time consuming..not really.  But this hinge you can use on anything you want. And if you want to teach a class go for it. If you want to add it to your albums you sell go for it. There is nothing holding you back and you don't even have to pay for it

See a few weeks ago I got a message on YouTube from someone claiming I'm teaching their techniques. While I have never claimed that I "created" any way to make albums this really irritated me.

I have learned so many techniques from so many talented ladies throughout my years of crafting.  On YouTube, in store classes and at crops and in books. (I'm not talking about her book either as I didn't waste my money on it)

13 years ago I used to sell Stampin' up and learned most of my techniques through them. Then I sold Close to my heart. I have been to many crops and have picked up tricks here and there.

We often duplicate what we see. That's called "Casing". We all do it in one form or another. For someone to send me a message telling me to stop making tutorials is crazy.

This person never did answer me in what I supposedly copied and in the mean time I've been researching these "techniques" online, YouTube and through books. I found many examples of the same things I'm doing and teaching  all the way back to 2002. So for this person to claim she created these technique is totally bull hockey!

See I first saw a hinge binding system on a blog back in 2009 by Kathy Black at www.bublyfunk.typepad.com. Then I saw on YouTube by one crafter, how ever slightly different, then on yet another site which shall remain nameless. Who originally created it you say... Who freaking knows. All I know is it's been out there for long time, in one way or another.

So with out further ado.. here is my version!
